The Garden

The nursery benefits of having exclusive use of the outdoor area and the garden.

Most of the garden is covered in grass and gives opportunity for planting, mini beast hunt, observation of birds and general outdoor play.

It also has a herb garden, separete vegetable patch and compost bin, so children can learn looking after the natural environment. Children often water the plants, observe the growing flowers, tend and harvest the plants and flowers.

The rest of the garden is covered by woodchip. This part has a play-house, cosy reading corner, chalk board, mud kitchen and a pirate ship climbing frame.

Garden toys: see-saw, slide, sand and water tray, balls, hoops, bench, play kitchen, trucks, mark making, stepping stones etc.
